Summer Reading Series Giveaway: The New Divvies Bakery Cookbook!
Posted by alisa on July 21, 2010 | 186 Comments
This week, three winners. That’s right, three of you will win this hot off the presses:
The Divvies Bakery Cookbook: No Nuts. No Eggs. No Dairy. Just Delicious! has just been released (yesterday!), and you can be one of the first to win your very own copy.
I got to preview a copy, and wow, what beautiful book. It is wonderfully written, totally fun and kid-friendly (lots of party ideas), and full color. Love it. I did jump right in and trial a recipe, making the Double Chocolate Zucchini bread into muffins. Alas, I live at 6500 ft, and attempted to make the recipe without adjustments. Bad idea. But, our sunken muffins were actually incredible! We served them up as brownie sundaes and oh my goodness … SO good. I will be trialing that recipe again with some high altitude adjustments, as well as many others in this scrumptious-looking cookbook. These are on the top of my list:
- Cinnamon Buns (one of Benjamin’s (her son’s) top 10)
- Choose-Your-Own-Mix-In Scones
- Benjamin’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Carrot Cake with “Cream Cheese” Frosting
- Apple Fritters
If you aren’t familiar with Divvies, they are pretty much a legendary dairy-, egg-, and nut-free bakery that ships cookies, cupcakes, and candy throughout the U.S. The recipe creator and food allergy mom behind Divvies, Lori Sandler, is the author of The Divvies Bakery Cookbook. Her recipes do not disappoint. Want proof? I just might be posting a Divvies recipe on Go Dairy Free this weekend. Stay tuned.

I would love to have this book, since going dairy free in April due to our 7 year old, I’ve enjoyed learning as much as I can on new foods to fix!
This is going on Facebook now!

I would love this cookbook because my son has SEVERE food allergies, even anaphylaxis. It’s very scary. I have a hard time finding foods that I can make for him and spend a lot of money. This would really give me some tools and help me with cooking for my son.
My sister shared this for me on my Facebook page for others to see!!
I have also signed up for the email posts!!
Thanks for the opportunity!
I would love to own this cookbook because this past April I celebrated my birthday (same as my husband’s actually) and I watched my family all eat a variety of cheesecakes while I had coffee with soymilk. BORING! I recongize that I need to bring my vegan desserts to the table so I can have a cruelty free birthday celebration for my husband and me, and so I can have some damn cake!
Thanks!!

I cannot have dairy and my youngest is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. So, I do a lot of baking! My best friend cannot have dairy either has two kids with food allergies (peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, etc.). We often share recipes and cookbooks so this would be a great resource for the two of us!
I also posted the giveaway on Facebook!

I’d love this book because I’m the official dessert maker in our group of friends. There are a couple who have food allergies that I’d like to be able to bake for. Also, I have 2 girls under age two and plan to have more kids. I’d hate for them to miss out on the joys of childhood goodies and birthday cakes due to food allergies.
I posted about the giveaway on FB.
Well, I don’t really know any reasons why I don’t want it!
More vegan dessert cookbooks are always a good plan, and the cover photo is too cute. I love having plenty of delicious dessert recipes at hand because I figure that the best way to convince people that veganism isn’t all about iceberg lettuce and carrot shreds is to knock their socks off with an amazing decadent dessert!

Just got it posted on my FB page ..thank you!
My daughter is severely allergic to dairy products. When ingested, she goes into anaphylactic shock and stops breathing. We have had a VERY hard time finding products that are dairy free, which limits her to a very small variety of food. She’s only One! It crushes me every time we are eating and she wants to try what we are having. I would LOVE to finally be able to give her something that tastes great and I don’t have to worry if I’m going to need to use an Epi Pen, let alone rush her to the ER and hoping to make it in time. I want her to know that she does have more options out there. We just need to find them. Thanks for making that possible
i would love this book to help me with my 4 yr old son and make some delicious food for him being completely dairy free and my daughter who is nut free
love yr website
I recently found out that I am allergic to all dairy, eggs and oysters. I would use this cookbook as a guide to my new lifestyle change. I have been learning a lot about dairy free living and did spend 10 years meat free. This new dairy free living is much more of a challenge. This website has been a great help so I assume the books they recommend would be of great help as well.
I would love this cookbook! My son, Drew, was diagnosed with Milk-FPIES at 8 months old. He just turned 1, and is prohibited from having any dairy, casein, or whey, until his 3rd birthday. Then we’ll do an oral-dairy challenge and take it from there. I already have “Go Dairy Free” and would love to build my dairy-free cooking resources. Pick me!

My good friend of mine has a child that is having some tummy problems and she is having a hard time baking for him. He can’t have eggs or dairy. I would love to get this book for her.
I would like to own this cookbook because I recently found out that dairy is the root of all my migraines. Unfortunately, my diet is saturated with dairy. For the sake of my head-splitting migraines, please help me by letting me win this cookbook. I’m new to your blog, and have to say that this inspires me to try new things.
I also just signed up to receive your blog in my inbox and I’m glad I did! You have been a great starting off point for this new adventure in my life.
And because I’m super determined, I also posted a link to the giveaway on my Facebook.
perfect day for me to discover your blog!
I would love this muffin because I love baking but branching out from traditional butter, egg, sugar laden baked goods makes me nervous. I’d love to see if I can still bake delicious things without my staples!
I subscribed to this blog
I would love this cookbook because my daughter cannot have any dairy or whey of any kind and as she gets older, it’s difficult to watch her miss out on so many foods. I already bought an ice cream maker and can now make her all kinds of her own ice cream with soymilk, but having new recipes to be able to share with her would be wonderful.
I also just shared this page on my facebook
